Web Redesign - Mitsui Comtek
In the words of one of their own staff, we’re “the largest company you’ve never heard of.” Mitsui Comtek is the American arm of one of the largest multinational conglomerates in the world. Comtek acts as a gateway to the US market providing IT services and electronics options for their blue chip manufacturing clients.
When Comtek was ready to reposition their company in the marketplace, it turned to Dayspring to redesign its website.

Situation
Recently, Comtek’s leadership decided to reposition the company as a finder of and consultant to new technology businesses. But their Web site’s design and content were outdated and served a merely informational role. Despite overwhelming success in the OEM manufacturing arena with international reach, Comtek needed a digital retooling that established it among other technology companies in the high-tech sector. A Web site redesign was the fluency Comtek needed to speak to a very different audience.
Vision
The project sponsors imagined a Web site that leveraged Comtek’s reputation, global and prestigious, with the polish and pace of Silicon Valley. Comtek’s project sponsors envisioned a Web presence that attracted the kind of business they wanted — funding and consulting start-ups in a select group of high-tech fields.
Execution
Drawing from more than 30 years of combined experience, Dayspring’s design team brought a transformation to Comtek’s content and visuals. An emphasis on hardware was replaced by software, and where objects had been first, people were highlighted. Dayspring’s work combined start-ups and small businesses with Comtek’s global reach.
